Hello Friend! Welcome to From His Gracious Hands. I’m Tynia but you can call me Ty. I’m very excited that you’ve decided to spend some time learning about my blog. I’ll start by telling you a little about myself. First and most importantly I’m a follower of Christ. I’m a sinner well acquainted with my constant need of repentance. In other words, God’s still working on me! I’m the wife of an incredibly patient and loving man named Erik. I am amom to two adorable kids. A 12 year old girl named Amirah and a 7 month old boy named Foster. I’m a stay-at-home mom for the first time. It’s been a dream come true that I never thought was possible to come true. Taking care of my little man and being present physically and mentally for my family has been amazing.
FHGH was just a passing idea at first. Initially, I wanted a space to share our struggle with infertility. I hopped on WordPress.com and started typing. My aim was to encourage others in similar situations while unloading the burden I bore concerning infertility. I also knew I wanted to share other things but I couldn’t quite flush it all out at the time. I eventually laid it aside and attempted to focus on other endeavors but I couldn’t shake FHGH. Over time ideas would pop up from unexpected places and after a while the flames were stoked and a blog was born.
FHGH has since evolved into a place in the blogosphere, where God’s goodness in my life, through good times and struggle, is put on display. I believe that through sharing my life with others I will inevitably show off God’s glory. After all, what does it really mean to “glorify God” other than to highlight aspects of His character and nature? The way believers participate in this is through our daily living (1 Corinthians 10:31). Please know that this is not a space to brag or boast! Nothing that I have received did I earn or deserve. All that I am blessed to steward and love comes from the gracious hands of God.
My sincerest prayer is that through every shared photograph, recipe, story, encouragement, and practical living tip, God’s goodness, mercy, and grace will be seen. And may His goodness, mercy, and grace to me lead you to desire a deeper knowledge of Him.
In His Grace,
